DC-9
The Douglas DC-9 is a twin-engine jet airliner designed for short- and medium-haul routes, first flown in 1965. It became known for its simplicity, reliability, and ability to operate from smaller airports. The DC-9 laid the foundation for an entire family of successors, including the MD-80 and Boeing 717.
