DC-8
The Douglas DC-8 was the first jet airliner built by Douglas, designed to compete with the Boeing 707. It first flew in 1958 and offered high speed, long range, and a comfortable cabin. It was used worldwide, and some freighter versions remained in service into the 21st century.
